30 day Movie Challenge Day Four

Name a movie that makes you sad.

A movie that I really, really like that also make me sad is Dancer in the Dark.

Kent, it is terrific that you have seen this movie at all, let alone have clearly seen it multiple times. I also love the movie Mrs. Miniver.

  1. The end Steel Magnolias makes me cry every time I see it, but it's not really a sad movie.

The Joy Luck Club makes me cry too.

But Mrs. Miniver is real sad. Poor Mrs. Miniver.

  2. I'm going to say Schindler's List. There are other movies that I find more moving, but I would be kidding myself if I said they affected me more than what goes down in this movie. I watched it once by myself. Once with my mom. And I don't ever see myself watching it again. Because I don't see the use in slipping into two day's of depression over a movie.

  3. I would also like to offer up this BBC documentary about Auschwitz for anyone looking to be sad. It's like 6 hours long, but it's on Netflix streaming, so it's readily available.

  4. For sad movie I'm going with Requiem for a Dream because I think it's fantastic and it hasn't been mentioned yet.

  5. That movie with Keira Knightly during WWII. Atonement? It was horribly sad.
